Neurulation in Urodeles: Elongation of the Neuraxis

The anterior-posterior elongation of the neuraxis can be measured and correlated with the closure of the neural tube in urodeles. As shown by Antone Jacobson and colleagues (Univ. of Texas-Austin), the change in rate of elongation is dramatic.
